September 2024 -  Tuesday 17th of September: Face to Face (Hybrid) 1 – 3 pm

  • Classroom Motivation and Engagement (to encompass elements of curriculum design and development) 
    • This session addresses the way in which language teachers create safe and stimulating learning environments which inspire, motivate and challenge all learners, through exploring effective planning which embeds new vocabulary and grammar.

November 2024 – Trust CPD Tuesday 5th of November: Face to Face (Hybrid) 1 – 3 pm

  • Assessment and Curriculum Design
    • This session will further explore effective planning that embeds new vocabulary and grammar. You will reflect on what constitutes best practice in assessing learning as you motivate and engage all learners, and develop their self-efficacy.

March 2025 Tuesday 4th of March: Face to Face (Hybrid) 1 – 3 pm 

  • The Three Pillars – planning and teaching (to include elements of curriculum design)
    • In this session you will be revisiting the three foundational pillars of language learning: Phonics, Vocabulary and Grammar. You will explore how to build systematic progress and challenge into your teaching of phonics, vocabulary and grammar over KS3 and KS4.The module will provide guidance on how to develop meaning-driven grammar and illustrate how well spaced and sequenced teaching of grammar supports learning and progress.
  • TSH MFL Conference (as per last year) 

June 2025 Tuesday 3rd of June: Face to Face (Hybrid) 1 – 3 pm

  • Integrating the Four Skills 
    • This session will share examples of best practice in providing pupils with well-sequenced, engaging, motivating and inclusive tasks that integrate the four skills and which provide stretch and challenge to support all learners in achieving their potential.
